This past weekend, more than 60 incredible women gathered in Bexley for the Sisterhood Supper Club brunch—a morning filled with connection, inspiration, and a shared commitment to uplifting women in politics. Hosted in partnership with The Matriots, the event was a powerful reminder of what happens when women come together with purpose.
An Afternoon of Meaningful Conversation
From the moment guests arrived, the energy was electric. The street (yes, we closed down a street!) buzzed with laughter, thoughtful dialogue, and the kind of warmth that only comes from shared values and vision. Over a delicious brunch spread, including amazing scones from Posh Teatime Co's Ella Williams, women from across our community connected over the values that drive The Matriots - equality, equity, health, safety, and independence for all women; dominion over our bodies and access to affordable health care services; healthy, safe, and secure communities for us, and our families; economic independence including equal access to education, and workplaces safe from discrimination and sexual harassment; and political empowerment for women resulting in gender parity in a representative government.

We were honored to welcome Emily Schriver, CEO of The Matriots, whose words resonated deeply. She spoke about the critical role women play in shaping policy and leading with empathy and pragmatism. Her message was clear: if we want more women in office, we must support them every step of the way.
Emily's Call to Action:
Fund their campaigns: Every dollar helps amplify a woman's voice and vision
Volunteer your time: Knock doors, make calls, lend your skills
Share their message: Talk to your friends, post online, spread the word
Her advice wasn't' just practical - it was empowering. It reminded us that political engagement isn't reserved for insiders. It's for all of us.
