Last night's Sisterhood Supper Club gathering was one of those evenings that reminds us why this community exists in the first place - connection, creativity, nourishment, and the kind of shared wisdom that stays with you long after the table is cleared.
We gathered in the warm, art-filled space of ArtNewCo., graciously hosted by owner Hannah Gleason, whose storefront proved to be the perfect backdrop for meaningful conversation and collective joy. Surrounded by vintage art, jewelry, and stories layered into every corner, the space invited us to slow down and be fully present with one another.
A Dinner Rooted in Care and Culture
Dinner was catered by the incredible Felisha Bowe, owner and chef of Island Girl Bahamian Cuisine. From the first bite, it was clear that this meal was prepared with intention, heritage, and love. Felisha's food nourished more than our bodies. It anchored the evening in warmth and generosity, creating space for conversation to unfold naturally around the table. We are so grateful for her talent and the care she brings to every experience.
Celebrating Our Sisterhood Businesses: Mother's Day Box Sneak Peek
One of the highlights of the evening was the raffle of our upcoming Sisterhood Mother's Day box, which will be available for purchase soon. This box is a celebration of women-owned businesses within our Sisterhood Supper Club community, and it reflects the creativity, care, and craftsmanship that lives among us.
Each box will include:
JM Botanicals - Lemongrass Mint body scrub and body oil
Petals That Inspire - Dried eucalyptus and lavender shower steamers
Posh Teatime & Co - gourmet tea sachets, Peruvian honey, and honey stirrer
Pecandy - three flavors of gourmet candied pecans
Building Bridges - handcrafted maple and walnut tea light candle holders
Purchase links will be available soon, and we want to say thank you in advance for supporting the women and businesses that make up this Sisterhood. Every purchase is an investment in community, creativity, and collective care.
Wisdom Shared Across Generations
We were also honored to welcome a very special guest from Columbus School for Girls. What unfolded next was one of those moments you wish you could bottle and return to again and again.
Our sisters shared advice, lessons learned, and things they wish they had known earlier about courage, boundaries, self-trust, rest, ambition, and grace. While our guest took away many powerful moments, the truth is that every one of us did. The wisdom shared around the table belonged to the collective, echoing back to each of us in different ways depending on where we are in our own journeys.
We are in the process of gathering and capturing that advice so it can be shared more broadly, but for now, we're holding it with care, grateful for the vulnerability, honesty, and love that made the conversation possible.
Grateful, Grounded, and Looking Ahead
To Hannah, Felisha, our Sisterhood business owners, our special guest and every women who showed up fully as herself - thank you. Nights like this remind us that Sisterhood Supper Club is not just about dinner. It's about creating space where stories are honored, wisdom is exchanged, and we leave a little more connected than when we arrived.
More soon on the Mother's Day Box and always, more sisterhood ahead.
With gratitude,
Charlene
